CARE
Caring for your vermeil pieces:
- Wipe with a soft, clean cloth to restore shine. Do not use a polishing cloth. It will strip the plating.
- If necessary, soak your piece for a few minutes in lukewarm, soapy water. Wipe dry with a soft, clean cloth.
- Store gold-plated pieces in an air-tight plastic bag in a cool, dry place. Do not put multiple pieces of jewelry in one bag. Do not put multiple pieces of jewelry in one bag. This will prevent scratching and tarnishing.
- Do not shower while wearing your gold-plated jewelry.
- If applying lotion, make-up, or perfume, wait until your skin is dry before putting on your jewelry.
Caring for your sterling silver pieces:
- Use a silver polishing cloth to restore the shine of your sterling silver pieces.
- If necessary, soak your piece for a few minutes in lukewarm, soapy water. Wipe dry with a soft, clean cloth. Finish with a polishing cloth for extra shine.
- The more you wear your sterling silver jewelry the shinier it stays. The natural oils on your body help clean the sterling! If you do decide to take it off, make sure it's completely dry and store it in an airtight plastic bag or jewelry box with an anti-tarnish strip in a cool, dry place. To prevent scratching, not put multiple pieces of jewelry in one bag.
- It's not recommended to shower with your sterling. Though water will not harm the metal, but it will speed up the tarnishing process.
- If applying lotion, make-up, or perfume, wait until your skin is dry before putting on your jewelry.
